so we've been getting lots of fam time lately...so nice for the soul. dad gulley is here right now for his annual father son trip. last year they met up for a football game in annapolis. this year its father son bonding over golf under autumn leaves.

yesturday we got caught up over indian food in cleveland park at indique. i tried something new the stew. quite splendid. dad gulley got the same in chicken. bobs stuck with the ole time favorite...the makni chicken.
we had a nice dinner followed by a round of two rice puddings and an indique treat that was like some sort of honey covered hot cake ball with ice cream...freakin fantastic! then check signed and bellies full, we were ready to really start talking and so we got into life and dabbled into a circuit of fastfood theology puzzles.
the air was crisp when we left. i overeagerly reached into my pursue to pull out my new yellow mittens and hat. maybe its the charm of the seasons but oddly enough, i am getting me ready for the cool december nights to come and bring in bursts of city snow!
heading home we couldn't just pass the incredible "sweets shop" without a tasting. we lickadesplit turned around and walked in the door of georgetown's thomas' sweets to see if their ice cream & fudge was truly as appetizing as it looked through the windows....it was. the chocolate to seal the deal at the end of long night of food was exactly what i needed. i have been craving creams lately so i think my body is asking for extra dairy, and what can i do but oblige?
tonight we met up in dupont at raku. i had the vegitarian steak of a portabello & agedashi while bobs got the soup and sushi. then, we went for round number two at the ritz. at first i downed the creme brulee. then i saw the cheese
and thought...why not? and so i finished with a large slice of brie, lavosh-yes! my favorite-, strawberries, and a raspberry tort. i figured camel theory...only get this once store it up! and i did.
i passed on the football game and bobs and dad gulley made sure i was safe through out the metro's never letting me fall behind or not be looked after and carefully stayed watch until i was attended to at my car and safe heading home.
tomarrow is the in the beginning, bibles before the year 1000 exhibit at the Sackler Gallery with lunch at java green!
boobs birthday countdown: 5 more days of hiding and storing treats. why is this so much fun?!?!!
duo dad cute moment: how they try and protect me in the metro's...dad carrying the heavy items and taking the stroller down the escalators for me, heroically stopping doors for me, and dad gulley's watchful eye making sure i was safe in a seat and walked behind so nothing would "happen" to me. nice to be protected by two big masculine papas...even if i am outwardly 26.
