Duma

Duma means "cheetah" in kswahili. perfect for our lil wild man. Duma is the sweetest tiger cat. He is three years old. He is a brown tabby with a white neck and four white paws and my kitty dream come true!

We were drawn to him because of his great personality. He was sitting so sweetly, was a bit shy at first then quickly warmed up letting us hold him and pet him. When we put him back he just turned around calmly and looked up at us with playful eyes. He stretched his paws out tenderly to play and i told Bobby, this boy is sweet! He sat all chill perfectly content with himself and as we scanned the other cats we kept coming back to him for his charming personality.

We almost got distracted and got a dog instead! There was the sweetest pup who got us very confused and ready for an impulse buy. Thinking it over we concluded with our busy work schedules that it truly wouldn't be fair to a dog. Bobby looked at Duma in his sad cramped kennel an said, "lets get him." Someay we'll adopt a doggie, and someday a baby, but for now a kit-cat is just perfect. I was passionate about getting a homeless pet and giving him a home. I knew I would love any so I asked Bobby to pick one out but we ended up choosing Duma together.

The first night home...
he was a little timid at first coming out of his carrier. Bobby assured him it was safe and showed him his litter box. I got out the toys. Even though he was distracted with checking out the room, he was still ready to play! We haven't heard him meow yet, but he purrs whenever he sees us, when he cuddles, and talks!!! He was really scared of the air conditioner too, growling and backing into a corner looking suspiciously when he heard it come on. An excellent communicator and a fast runner!

Duma definitely loves to play! He is irrestibly sweet. Duma is so tender with people, incredibly affectionate, and a mighty hunter always ready for playtime action. He loves being petted and giving love signs. We totally picked the best kitty because he is sooo perfectly sweet, respectful, keen, aware, energetic, playful and lovingly kind. We love him so much already!!
