on Easter
even the earth cries out in buds of purple hope
that life goes on
that love persists
that death can be transformed
that our Savior reigns
that we are all held together in the palm of hope
of one taking most earnest care of our deepest needs

for he is risen!
love has conquered all
we have no "fight" but to persist in love
on our fourth annual easter hike tradition we went to the blue ridge mountains for inspiration. we hiked what i call dilley duck but is really named something different, and drove along snowy skyline drive having an evening picnic with the company of beautiful easter deer friends.
then we stopped at the delux whole foods for a feast (incredible)
before stocking our basket up with delicious organic treats and heading home for an incredible lavendar bath and the unseasonal "lord of war" movie (we watched the nativity & some nooma's the night before). the movie was great but made me sic to watch it knowing how terrible our small arms business is across the world and fueling current african wars. the comfort of bobby's arms and our shared vision for justice and peace eased me to sleep.
