our humble chateau

is more like a charming cottage than a Lord's manor.

but just imagine:

white shutters, white window boxes

with bright fushia flowers, a rocket red door,

friendly flowers and a new lilac bush outside.

(thats how i picture it)

that wall will be sea blue earth plaster....there will be an adorable weathered wood cream table and four weathered wood different color chairs with bright happy seat cushions, a couch, a wishful bookcase, a turquoise bench with my record player and records on it...yea!

bobby is envisioning a flat screen over the fireplace. watching some crazy sports thing. i am envisioning games over our real live kitchen table! great talks over late night veggie feasts, cozying up on the couch reading by the fireplace, a kitty-cat and husky nestled in, the record player blaring, blown up framed pictures of our travels on the walls...kenya, china, hawaii, etc.

the doors to the right are french doors to the patio!!!

(actual-factual, not just in my head)

this kitchen will be BRIGHT! Think a bright happy marigold wall with the bay window (or as the paint is named "midnight bonfire," french yellow kitchen cabinets, new WOOD countertops, warm, cheerful sunrise-yellow/goldenrod walls & white trim. homemade curtains, dish towels, and pot holders, all eco-friendly paint/earth plaster daffodil colored kitchen--all bright & happy!

someday all new ECO-green less energy sucking appliances & bamboo or cork floors

we have a stairway!!!!

imagine it hung with green pine at Christmas time...
that sic carpet up the stairway & upstairs will be removed to have

beautiful eco bamboo floors...ah! also, earth plaster power blue walls going up the stairs with weathered wood frames fill with family pictures

i will dearly miss my swimming pool tub! but think new eco-shower heads (yes, the plans exceed even to the bathrooms!) i will spare all the details!

we have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs!!

one will be earth plaster green, the other we're still deciding. all the curtains in the house will be eco, energy saving (those ingenious creators!) natural roman blinds covered with prettier funky homeade curtains.

our patio!!!

imagine less concrete in the back, grass, beautiful pink flowers, night blooming jasmine as you walk out so it smells incredible in the air outside, dahlias, new spring peonies next year, some flowering vines, our own organic compost, pots of cheerful smiling flowers, a patio couch, table, and 2 chairs, solar patio lights!

these trees are much happier than they look here. (this was taken when they were lonely with no company--soon we will be moved in and they will be happy again!) you open the fence...and there you are on a sweet walkway on a hill. grass to play around in on all sides perfect for future members of the family. (a mile run to the nature preserve, a park across the street, and kiddie playground)

oh the possibilities!

in the dream...the house is filled with the pressence of Jesus, love, joy, peace, a blissful marriage, and laughter. we also have all solar power panels, a eco water guy that purifies all the water in the house (genious!), new water saving toilets, everything green to combat global warming!
