sweet mason!

when you were just four weeks old, we got to play with you for 3 weeks! you filled our house up with love (and your cute noises and purrs!) we got to chat with your mommy and hear all about your delivery into the world. we got to share meals, see your daddy, go to the park, take you to dinner, and kiss your cheeks at night.

we had indoor picnics

and outdoor picnics
when you got fussy, we held you.

we put you in your favorite "frog" position.

we walked, bounced, and sang to you until you felt all better or fell asleep on our chests. the best part was when you would grasp my arm, holding onto me as i held onto you.

it melted your auntie kiki's heart!

the air smelled summer sweet
with all the honeysuckles in bloom

while you slept, we saw these friends....

mommy sang to you, "leaving on a jet plane"

because sadly, you were.
