Everyday I wake up and look out my window hoping to see snow. Instead, there is only sunshine. But, one can never be disappointed to see sunshine. So up I spring for a beautiful warm winter day filled with strawberry snow thoughts. When suddenly we see not only is baby Jesus born but Santa has come! Hailey said, "VuVu good guy, Nana goo girl, Bob good boy. Santa says everyone here is good." Nana told Hailey it was her delicious cookies she made because boy did Santa spoil us! Hailey & Savannah were mesmerized by their new doll house and matching kitchens. Jeff made everyone pancakes, eggs, & bacon. We played my new game Cranium and Framers Rummy and ate appetizers of shimps-as Hailey calls them-, salmon, cheese and crackers and vegan 5 layer mexican dip. We ate our traditional Christmas dinner, broke a peppermint pig and talked about the year, competed to find the pickle in the tree that Grandma hid and said our goodnights and goodbyes. It all ended far too soon! A wonderful Christmas in D.C.
