since we have no snow in d.c. yet we had to travel to the land of snow in the Nutcracker to get a peak preview. ah! it was marvelous! the Kennedy Center Opera house is glamerous and the dancing was magical. my favorites of the night:
-clara's perfect joy dancing with the prince in the snow
-sugar plum fairies dress
-when the tin solider, ballerina, and unicorn were brought out and began to jump to the cracking sound
-the flower fairies dancing and dresses which really looked like blossoms as they spun
-our ridiculously close seats
-grandma's brief snoring
-bobcat turning to me telling me his favorite parts
-the unicorn which made me laugh everytime he came out
-dinner at the ritz following
-gingerbread hot chocolate
-seeing mom, grandma, and kenny
-the beginning of my break!
