sometimes i wonder. if my reality is only a shade of what God's reality is....how real is my life or the things i think of as real, are they really all that real? these are the kinds of thoughts that only make sense in yr own skull.i wonder how decieved i am by my physical reality. how often i see only my physical space as "real" when truly on so many other levels and dimensions realness floats about invisible to my own comprehension or understanding.
the New Testament says we are judged by doing sin by the very thoughts we think. thoughts. "invisible" yet so real and powerful. am i missing out on truth by not recognizing the realness and validity of my unseen world.
maybe our thoughts are so real that we do see them. they let us be who we are in a sense. if God can draw things into existence by mere thoughts, and we are in God's image, how much of that creative power dwells in us as well. if we create with our hands what we first think of, is it also possible to create merely just by thinking?
"may heaven fill your thoughts" (NLT Col 3:2)
Colassians 3:1-4 (NRSV)
"So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above,
where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Set your minds on things that are above,
not on things that are on earth,
for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ who is your life is revealed,
then you also will be revealed with him and/or her in glory."
can we truly create heaven just by thinking about it?
and what about prayer? when we share our thoughts with God...does prayer actualize our thoughts and make them more real than they already are.
i was on the plane from florida to d.c. and when i was incredibly hungry and worried that i didn't have any cash for food and wondered how i would eat on my next layover and wishing i grabbed something earlier and hoping our plane snack would be pretzels and not a snack mix of cereal spice filled peanut concoction, the guy-who i had been oblivious to earlier-who sat on the opposite side of the isle offered me a bag of his pretzels. as i snatched them up and started munching i started wondering about my angels, my travels, how i meet so many good people, how i always end up completely taken care of, and if i shouldn't be thinking certain thoughts about the people around me because perhaps my neighbor was psyhic and reading my thoughts.
and then i started thinking about intuition. can we feel God's will in our intuition? can our own thoughts affect it? how do we relate to God on a purely intuitive level? when do we know its God and not some other spirit force? or person? if the Holy Spirit is our guide, our teacher in all things, are we made and created to commune together somewhere in the psychic parts of our souls?
"ohh, you set up your place in my thoughts
move in and make my thinking crowded..."
move in and make my thinking crowded..."
