so this is the new year

all day long it rained

i got to drive along in fog and showers as the rain cleansed all the 2006 ickies away ushering in a new clean year.

with the rain, the patty griffin, the U2, and all the other music, the time to just sit and watch it all happening, and think, i didn't mind the traffic at all (even tho later i realized it took us twice as long to return). i quite enjoyed myself.

it is so nice to know that we can be bathed, cleansed, washed free, and given a new year.

and then, the rains stopped. rays reached out from the clouds and the sun set in front of me.
