sibs trip

this year we missed our annual 4th of july sibs weekend because ry was in china. but when ry returned in july we made up for it with a killer night hitting the first show of the counting crows/live/& collective soul concert tour out at frawley stadium in delaware. i think it might have been the first time i ever saw the very first show of a concert tour. everyone was at their freshest. the singing was incredible and the vibes were upbeat an positive. we weazed in the front of the crowd practically staring adam duritz in the eye when he stood poetically in front of us bending down to his knees singing with dramatic sincerity. ah! the best was looking back and catching all of us in starstruck aw of the beauty of the music whether it was them laughing at me in my moment of bliss when live sang "heaven" or laughing together when live took off his shirt after singing, "i can feel it!" in lightening crashes, or in jaw dropping silence after crows sang perfect blue buildings an adam ended slowly singing "sometimes i don't leave the house all day," as he brought his arms an face into his chest, or when adam improved through round here repeating, "i've changed. i've changed. i've changed. i've changed..." and we just looked at each blown away. i did have one pain, that bobby wasn't there to experience it too. as i listened i felt that pain knowing how much he would have appreciated it wishing he could enjoy it with us.
